Departing flights axed at local airports
Air travelers are having a tough time today.
Every departure at the Outagamie County Regional Airport is cancelled for the day.
Spokeswoman Kim Sippola says crews worked throughout the night to keep the runways clear, but safety is the No. 1 consideration in whether planes will takeoff or land.
She says the airlines are working hard, re-booking travelers.
Sippola says travelers should check the airport's website or call their airline, before heading to the airport.
All departing flights were also cancelled at Austin Straubel International Airport near Green Bay.
