Johnson honors retiring Kohl
It's not often that Wisconsin's Democratic and Republican U.S. senators see eye-to-eye, but yesterday, first-term Republican Sen. Ron Johnson honored retiring Democratic Sen. Herb Kohl on the Senate floor.
Johnson says Kohl always put the people of Wisconsin first, during his 24 years in office, and he'll also be remembered for his philanthropy. He says Kohl is particularly generous to educational causes through his charitable foundation, and other donations.
Kohl gave his farewell address on the U.S. Senate floor last week, and he thanked the state's voters for taking a chance on him.
