Appleton sledding hills open, shelters soon

The snow storm is good news for winter sports enthusiasts, and the Appleton parks department is ready for the

season.

Program supervisor Kabel Helmbrecht says the shelter by the Reid Golf Course. He says the rest of the shelters will open next week.

Helmbrecht says it will take a while to prepare the ice skating rinks. He says crews will start working on them soon, and they could be ready to go by the end of next week, at the earliest.
