Appleton to talk 4K with care providers

Appleton is launching its four-year-old kindergarten program next fall, but before then, district leaders need to work out agreements with child care providers, to host the classes.

Assistant superintendent Judy Baseman says they're going to hold informational meetings soon to go over the requirements that the district will have, and to talk about signing contracts.

Baseman says they're going to partner with child care providers, because they don't have enough room in their elementary schools for all of the students. She says they are planning to have four school sites, though.

Parents can start registering their kids for 4K in February, and Baseman says the district will hold informational meetings for them too.
