Spring candidate deadline approaching
The deadline for filing nomination papers for two statewide races is coming up.
Candidates for a spot on the state Supreme Court, and the state superintendent of schools have to submit their papers, and 2,000 valid signatures to the Government Accountability Board, by January 2.
Justice Pat Roggensack and state superintendent Tony Evers are both running for re-election, in the spring. Attorney Vince Megna and Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone already turned in their papers to challenge Roggensack.
Republican Rep. Don Pridemore of Hartford is going to take on Evers.
