SeniorCare renewed for two more years
Wisconsin's popular prescription drug program will continue for at least another two years.
Governor Walker announced this morning that the federal government is extending its waiver for SeniorCare, until 2015.
Republican Sen. Mike Ellis of Neenah says the program reduced Medicaid spending by almost $150 million last year, and that saved the state more than $50 million.
Democratic Sen. Dave Hansen of Green Bay says he continually hears from seniors, about how they're benefiting from the program.
There's a $30 annual enrollment fee for SeniorCare, and co-pays of $5 for generic drugs, and $15 for brand-name drugs.
