Outagamie Co. libraries enforce threat

Starting today, people from Brown County can no longer check out books from libraries in Outagamie County.

The move comes after Brown County sent a bill to Outagamie County last summer, to pay for Outagamie County users. Appleton Public Library assistant director Tasha Saecker says they didn't make the decision lightly, and she hopes to find some way to resolve the problem.

She says the move will affect about 1,000 people who use the Appleton library, but it will have a bigger impact in Kaukauna, because the school district includes part of Brown County.

Saecker says people from Brown County can still use the computers, and read books at the libraries in Appleton, Kimberly, Little Chute, Kaukauna, and Seymour.
