Matching grant a success for B&G Club
Donations from the public helped a local non-profit more than double a matching grant from an anonymous donor.
Greg Lemke-Rochon of the Boys and Girls Club of the Fox Valley says the community contributed more than $76,000 toward the $30,000 match. That led to a total contribution of over $106,000.
Lemke-Rochon says they're off to a great start to the new year, thanks to the contributions, but there's still work to do. The Boys and Girls Club of the Fox Valley has a $2.2 million annual budget.
Lemke-Rochon says they serve about 1,000 kids a day.
