Caribbean, Europe popular spots in 2013
Mexico is the top destination for leisure travelers this winter, but Florida and Europe are also popular places, as people plan their trips for the new year.
Brian Hurley of Fox World Travel says a lot of people come through the door after the first major snowstorm and cold snap of the year. He says a lot of people are planning trips to Mexico, because it's a better deal than other places in the Caribbean.
He says the Orlando area is also a perennial hot-spot, and European riverboat tours are popular.
Hurley says anyone planning a spring break trip should buy their plane tickets now, because there won't likely be any last-minute deals. He says airlines are cutting flights, and any remaining tickets could be quite a bit more expensive.
