House damaged by fire in G.C.

A fire in an attached garage started spreading to a home in Grand Chute this afternoon.

Firefighter Jesse Pickett says they were called to the 2900 block of Parkridge Avenue, around 1:30 p.m., and crews could see the smoke, while they were on their way. He says the flames got into the attic, but they were able to put them out quickly.

A woman was home when the fire broke out, and she got out safely. The roof of the garage collapsed, and a car that was inside, was destroyed. There's also smoke damage in the house.

Pickett says they don't have a damage estimate available yet, and investigators are looking for the cause.
