CVB excited for Lambeau Field changes

The renovation plans for the Lambeau Field atrium will only draw more visitors to the Green Bay area.

That's according to Brad Toll, the executive director of the Greater Green Bay Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

He says right now, the atrium hosts more than 500 events a year. Toll says at many NFL stadiums, if fans aren't there on game day, they can't do much more than take a picture outside.

The Packers are going to spend $140 million to improve the atrium and the team facilities. The plans call for moving the Pro Shop, Hall of Fame, and Curly's Pub.

Toll says the Hall of Fame will be in a much more visible place, on the second floor, and that's a good move. He says unless people know it's there, or see the sign, they might miss it.

Construction will start in March, and the project will be finished in June of 2015.
