Blood Center adds new bloodmobile
A non-profit that collects blood for local hospitals has a new bloodmobile.
The Community Blood Center showed off the vehicle last evening, during a celebration at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
Donor recruitment manager Tricia Kissinger says they'll be able to collect platelets for the first time, in a bloodmobile. She says they have five other bloodmobiles in their fleet, so the new one will only extend their reach to more communities.
The new vehicle has three donor beds, a medical history room, and a cafe area.
