Alderman wants southside park
A member of Appleton's city council hopes officials
include plans for a large, southside park in the next five-year plan.
Ald. Ed Baranowski represents a part of the southside, and he says it should be comparable to Memorial Park, on the northside.
Baranowski says possible stormwater pond projects on the southside, including a "dry pond" in Lions Park, could be the push the city needs to move forward.
Baranowski says there had been talk in the past about putting the park at the corner of Lake Park and Plank roads, but that didn't happen.
