Watchdog questions utility rate split
The Citizens Utility Board is speaking out against limited
rate increases for big energy users, at the expense of homeowners and small businesses.
Charlie Higley says the Public Service Commission's explanation that big energy users will create jobs, if they have smaller rate hikes, doesn't pass muster.
Higley says for the last ten years, homeowners and small businesses have been hit with larger rate increases than the big energy users in the state. He says they may have to seek a legal remedy to the situation.
