Gluten-free settlement could have wide impact
A settlement over gluten free foods could eventually expose restaurants to lawsuits, if they don't accommodate people with food allergies.
The plantiffs in the case sued a college campus in Massachusetts, arguing that the lack of gluten free foods violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Susan Quam of the Wisconsin Restaurant Association says that could place a big financial burden on businesses. She says many restaurants are voluntarily offering gluten-free options, and that's the way it should be.
Quam says their association is keeping a close eye on the situation.
