LU celebrates MLK Day
People from around the Fox Cities got together last night on the Lawrence University campus to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.
Earlier in the day, students from the school spent part of their afternoon, talking to kids about tolerance.
Lawrence senior Sophie Chung developed a lesson, and they brought it to seven Boys and Girls Club locations in the area. She says about 200 students taught the children about the importance of noticing differences in people, and then talking about them.
Lawrence hosted the 22nd annual community celebration last night, at the Memorial Chapel.
