Business leaders meet with local lawmakers
The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce held its annual "Meet Your Legislator" event last night, as a way to foster a good working relationship between the business community and elected officials.
Chamber president Shannon Full says it's an informal gathering, and that helps both groups speak more freely.
Chamber vice president Thom Ciske says lawmakers hear from him all the time, but sometimes it means more if the message comes from individual business leaders. He says the event at the Radisson Paper Valley hotel helps to make that happen.
