State income tax cut details taking shape

The income tax cut that state Republican leaders are talking about could be in the $300 to $350 million dollar range.

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says that amount would be spread over two years. The lawmaker from Burlington says they're still working out the details.

Governor Walker says he hopes to put the projected surplus of $342 million back in the hands of the middle class. He says that would be about $200 per family.

The governor says he would aim the tax cut at families that earn between $20,000 and $200,000 a year.
