Developer shows off bigger Grand KaKalin project
A developer is showing off his expanded vision
for two properties in Kaukauna.
Randy Stadtmueller originally planned to revamp the former Eagle mill, and move the Kaukauna library there. Now he also wants to redevelop the former Gustman site, across the Fox River Canal, at the corner of Lawe Street and Wisconsin Avenue.
Stadtmueller says he's working on a three-story, 47-unit senior housing project on the Gustman site. He says there's room for one or two more residential buildings there, along with two or three commercial projects.
Stadtmueller says there will also be an additional lot on the mill site. In all, he says it could take two or three years to complete everything, depending on demand.
The entire development is called Grand KaKalin.
Stadtmueller held a community reception last night, at Nicolet school. Kaukauna city leaders still have to sign off on the plans.
