Appleton paper company opens on-site clinic

The Appleton paper company has a new on-site medical clinic, to make it easier for workers to get their regular check-ups.

CEO Mark Richards says they're partnering with ThedaCare, and it's a first for the area. He says it continues their corporate efforts to improve employee wellness.

The ThedaCare Workplace Clinic is on Wisconsin Avenue, across the street from Appleton's main facility.

Kerry Arent is the company's senior vice president of human resources. She says they don't have a lot of employee turnover, so they want focus on avoiding long-term health issues. She says that way, they can save money on health care in the long run.

About 750 Appleton employees can use the new clinic. Their spouses, domestic partners, and adult children can also go there.
