Group reacts to on-site medical clinic
Arrangements like the one between the Appleton
paper company and ThedaCare provide more opportunities for workers to receive better care. That's the feeling of Dr. Tim Bartholow, the chief medical officer for the Wisconsin Medical Society.
Appleton and ThedaCare opened an on-site clinic last month, across the street from the paper company's main facilities, on Wisconsin Avenue.
Bartholow says hopefully that type of partnership can catch on elsewhere. He says they're also talking with smaller employers, to see how they can improve access to care.
About 750 Appleton paper company employees can use the on-site clinic, along with their spouses, domestic partners, and adult children.
