Some TCCES kindergartners get tablets

All kindergarten students are using tablet computers at an elementary school in Menasha.

Twin City Catholic Education System president Pat Batey says the program at St. Mary elementary is part of an effort to help all students excel in using technology. He says the tablets are loaded with games and other programs that should help the students learn to recognize letters, and do other educational projects.

Over the past several years, the school system started a one-to-one laptop program for high school students, and upgraded the middle and elementary school computer labs. Teachers are also using more smart boards in classrooms.
