BBB warns of business phishing scam
Some Wisconsin business owners are getting letters from a company, offering to help them file an annual "minutes form" with the state, and they'll do it, for a fee.
Susan Bach of the Better Business Bureau's office in Appleton says it's part of a phishing scam. She says the company is Corporate Records Service, and it has a reputation for deceptive business practices.
Bach says the company has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau, and several states' attorneys general are warning about their methods.
Bach says the "minutes form" that the company claims is mandatory, is not required by the state.
