Ag surveys due on Monday

Time is running out for Wisconsin farmers to participate in a national agriculture survey.

The census is conducted every five years, and it looks at issues ranging from land use, to income and expenses. Ben Brancel is the state's agriculture secretary.  He says those surveys help lawmakers craft future ag policy.

Wisconsin has more than 77,000 farmers, and Brancel hopes they'll take the time to fill out the survey.

The census forms are due by Monday. More information, and copies of the survey, are on the USDA's website.
