Rosenthal could spend life in prison
A Brillion man convicted of killing his mother won't be
able to get out of prison for nearly 50 years.
35-year-old Randal Rosenthal was in Outagamie County court Wednesday morning, for a sentencing hearing, for the death of 52-year-old Kathleen Remter of Kaukauna.
Judge Michael Gage decided Rosenthal won't be eligible for extended supervision until 2061.
Prosecutors say Rosenthal shot Remter, while the two were fishing at Rapide Croche Park, near Wrightstown, in July of 2011. Her body was found in the Fox River, near the Rapide Croche dam.
