State ranks high for election process
Wisconsin is one of the best states in the country for running efficient, and secure, elections.
That's according to a study by the Pew Charitable Trusts.
Jay Heck of the government watchdog group Common Cause says Wisconsin performed well, even though the state's voter turnout percentages are typically second in the country, behind Minnesota.
The study looked at the fall elections in 2008 and 2010.
Heck says poll workers, and the people who train them, deserve a lot of credit. He says that's why the lines at polling places aren't as long as in states like Florida and Ohio.
