Man to stand trial in abuse case
A Fox Cities man will stand trial on charges that
he put his young son in a dog kennel.
34-year-old Michael Kitzman waived his right to a preliminary hearing this morning, on a felony child abuse charge. He's accused of hitting his two-year-old son last October, and tying up his arms and legs, for about 45 minutes.
Court records say after he untied the child, Kitzman locked him in a dog kennel, in a dark room. The boy eventually fell asleep in the kennel.
Records say Kitzman was angry because the boy gave his sibling's toy football to the family dog. He's accused of telling investigators that he just blew up, and lost it.
