Wisconsin among top ten for 'fleeing' residents
Fewer people are choosing Wisconsin when they decide to make a move.
That's the finding of a report in Forbes Magazine, which ranks Wisconsin tenth among states that people are leaving.
Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance researcher Dale Knapp says historically Wisconsin held its own in retaining its population, but that trend is changing. He says many people leave for warmer climates.
Knapp says many aging high income earners are moving to Florida instead of other warm weather states, because it doesn't have an income tax.
New Jersey topped the list of states that people are leaving.
