Home sales climb in Jan.
The housing market is coming off another nice month, but things weren't as rosy in the northeast region.
The Wisconsin Realtors Association says sales climbed 18 percent across the state in January, marking the 19th straight month of double-digit increases over the previous year. The growth in the northeast region was half that, at nine percent.
Association president Mike Theo says January is typically the slowest month of the year, so it's an encouraging sign, moving forward.
Theo says the statewide median price was up 3.4 percent, to $123,000. It climbed 2.7 percent in the northeast region, to $113,000.
