Low turnout expected for spring primary

There probably won't be long lines today for the spring primary election.

The Government Accountability Board predicts under 10 percent of registered voters will cast a ballot.

In Winnebago County, Clerk Sue Ertmer thinks turnout will be in the six or seven percent range. She says there are a couple of reasons for that -- voter fatigue, and a light ballot.

The Supreme Court primary is the only statewide race.

Locally, there are primaries for the Appleton and Wrightstown school boards, and village president in Little Chute.

Some town of Harrison voters will decide whether to incorporate, into a village. Voters in Hortonville will weigh in on a municipal building referendum.

You can hear election results on WHBY, after the polls close at 8 p.m.
