Prof. weighs in on Supreme Court race

A local professor says there are clear differences between the candidates in the race for state Supreme Court justice.

Lawrence University political science professor Arnold Shober says incumbent justice Pat Roggensack's literal interpretation of the constitution should appeal to conservatives. He says Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone's interpretive view will likely gain support from liberals.

Shober says he doesn't think the dysfunction among current justices on the high court will play much of a role in the race. He says the race will probably be low-key, and turnout will also be quite low.
