Report outlines impact of income tax cut
A report shows the average state taxpayer would save $83, through Governor Walker's proposed $342 million income tax cut.
The non-partisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau crunched the numbers.
Staffers found that people who earn more than $100,000 would receive more than 49 percent of the overall tax cut. Those with smaller incomes would see a larger percentage cut, in their tax rates. The biggest reduction would be for people who make between $25,000 and $30,000 a year -- at 3.3 percent.
The governor's budget would lower income taxes in three of the state's five tax brackets.
