Brown Co. holds school shooting drill
The Brown County sheriff's department, Wrightstown schools, and several other emergency responders got together today to practice their response to a school shooting.
Brown County emergency management director Cullen Peltier says the scenario started with a fake 911 call from a student, saying that someone was shooting students in the school. The various agencies then went through their crisis procedures, and learned how well they worked with each other.
Wrightstown school district administrator Carla Buboltz says school leaders have spent a lot of time preparing their emergency plans, and every staff member plays a role.
Buboltz says every staff member has a role, from hiding students, to barricading doors, and creating an evacuation plan.
