Walker not charged in John Doe probe
Governor Walker will not face criminal charges from a John Doe investigation into the Milwaukee County executive's office, while Walker held that position.
Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm announced today that the investigation ended last week.
Prosecutors filed charges against six people, including four former aides, and a donor. Those charges ranged from theft, to misconduct in office.
Lawrence University political science professor Arnold Shober says throughout the investigation, Walker maintained that he didn't do anything wrong. He says today's announcement gives Walker a little momentum, heading into his re-election campaign next year.
Governor Walker issued a statement this morning, saying he's glad the investigation is over.
