Local pantry adds refrigerated truck

The St. Joseph Food Program in Menasha is adding another vehicle to its fleet to help accept more donations.

Spokeswoman Karen Ziemke says they were able to buy a refrigerated truck, thanks to $35,000 in contributions. She says they've had to turn down perishable items in the past, especially during the summer, because of concerns that the food could spoil.

Ziemke says it obviously hasn't been as big of an issue in the wintertime, but it's nice that they don't have to worry about that anymore.
