Group explores homosexuality and the Bible
An initiative that aims to change attitudes about the LGBT community focused on the issue of homosexuality, and the Bible, last night, in Appleton.
Rev. Roger Bertschausen of the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship moderated a panel discussion, with the leaders of five local churches. He says he believes the bigger story of the Bible is to love everybody, and accept people.
But Bertschausen says followers of various religions read the Bible in different ways, and they can come to different conclusions.
The four-month-long Include initiative started in January.
