Sequestration could impact EAA AirVenture
It's not clear yet, if sequestration cuts will impact one of the biggest summer events in northeast Wisconsin.
Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh is on a list of small airports in Wisconsin that could lose staff for their control towers, under an FAA sequestration plan.
Airport director Peter Moll says he's not sure if that also includes the extra air traffic controllers that the FAA sends in each year when the airport hosts the EAA's AirVenture.
Moll is appealing the FAA's decision. The final list of air traffic controller cuts is expected to come out on March 20.
