DNR holding deer hunting meetings
Each spring, DNR officials hold meetings across
the state to answer hunter questions about the next deer hunting season.
They're coming up over the next two weeks, kicking off tonight in Reedsville. DNR big game ecologist Kevin Wallenfang says the hearings have a pretty open format.
Wallenfang says doesn't expect any major changes for this year's hunt. He says the agency plans to incorporate many of the recommendations of the deer trustee, next year.
Tonight's meeting runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Reedsville Sportsman Club, and it covers Calumet and Manitowoc counties. The meetings for Outagamie, Winnebago, and Brown counties are next Thursday and Friday.
