Appleton delivering new recycling carts
People in Appleton may notice something new when they come home from work over the next few weeks.
The new carts for automated recycling are coming in, and deputy public works director Nate Loper says crews are getting them out fast. Loper says all of the blue carts should be delivered by the middle of next month, and people can start using them, as soon as they get them.
He says Outagamie County is holding a special event on April 20, at Fox Cities Stadium, where people can recycle their old bins.
Homeowners will pay a $3 quarterly fee, over about five years, to cover the cost of the carts.
