Kaukauna may study options for Gustman site
A developer has some preliminary ideas for the former Gustman car dealership site near downtown Kaukauna, but the city might partner with him to consider various options.
Mayor Gene Rosin says Randy Stadtmueller wants to build a 42-unit housing project, across the street from the former Eagle mill. He says the city has been approached about a possible project for another part of the site, and they could do a feasibility study to figure out the best fit.
Rosin says it's exciting to see interest in the site along Lawe Street, because it's been vacant for years. Stadtmueller wants to tie the project in with his plans to renovate the Eagle mill.
