Brillion police joked about a weather balloon, after it got stuck in a tree yesterday morning.
A Facebook post mentioned that it landed in the city and not Mars. The National Weather Services releases two of them a day to record information on current conditions.
Meteorologist Roy Eckburg of the Green Bay office says they can land close to their office, or as far away as lower Michigan.
The balloons have hydrogen in them. There’s information on how to return them, and Eckburg says they get about 20 percent of them back.
