Contest fun!

Tuesday, Feb, 11 2014

Gary from Appleton was my first qualifier for the Chris Botti tickets and the meet & greet!  I played a few seconds of The Spinners and "Could it be I'm falling in Love", and Gary knew it right away.  Same game, new contestant Wednesday and Thursday, when we will award the tickets and the winner gets to go backstage and meet Chris on Saturday night at the Weidner Center!

By the way---I will have a similar chance for listeners next week with Aaron Neville--he's at the Weidner Center on February 20th...

Chris Botti contest

Monday, Feb, 10 2014

Listen to the WHBY Morning Show this week to qualify to win tickets to Chris Botti, Saturday night at the Weidner Center. I will have songs that have the word "love" in the title. I will play you a few seconds of the song, and you have to name the title!  Remember, I've already given you one word: love!

Also, it is supposed to be about -14 Tuesday morning, with wind chills about -30. We'll have any school-related announcements as well.

Super Dud

Tuesday, Feb, 4 2014

Sure, Super Bowl 48 was a snore.  Had a bad feeling for Denver when the opening snap landed somewhere near the Hudson River.... Wow, as much as I like Peyton Manning, he just looked...old.

Now, we go down the familar road of considering Seattle as a dynasty-in-the-making. No doubt that they have a lot of peices in place, with a ton of young guys. But, it's hard to keep all of those studs in place from year to year. And, stay healthy, don't lose numerous coaches to other teams, and don't forget that one of the best teams in football, San Fran, is in your division.

Green Bay could get back to that level, but the defense has to improve. Injuries happen, but look what GB managed a few years ago with a ton of players on injured reserve. A solid draft, some savvy trades or free agent plucks, and you could be back in the mix next year.  Bring on the OTA's!
