Mile of Music Courtyard Concerts

Wednesday, Jul, 1 2015

Had Mile of Music's Cory Chisel on the WHBY Morning show today to talk about the Courtyard Concert series at the Radisson Paper Valley, held every Wednesday night during the summer.

The shows are free, with drinks and food to purchase. I did give away a front row table to Jan from New London, who gets to bring 3 friends and enjoy Andrew Combs perform tonight in the Radisson's courtyard.
Listen every week for a chance to win the table, along with some surprise goodies as well!

And, don't forget that Mile 3 is coming up August 6-9.

U. S. Open

Monday, Jun, 22 2015

Congrats Jordan Speith.  He earned it,....hung in there, made a few less mistakes than the other guys, and was fortunate that Dustin Johnson could NOT make a putt down the line.  On to the British Open at St. Andrews and a course that's actually a links track, instead of whatever they tried to make Chambers Bay.

A tip of the cap to Louis Oosthuisen, who nearly came back from an opening 77. That was remarkable--when most other guys would have checked out, he "found" the course and starting making birdies instead of bogies.

Hope you had a good Fathers Day!!

Polyester baby!

Monday, May, 18 2015

OK--it wasn't all polyester, but it was close!  I co-emceed the Community Clothes Closet Vintage Fashion show yesterday at the Paper Valley Hotel.  Great time, cool fashions, and everybody had fun!  I shared the emcee duties with Jennie Curtis of WBAY-TV2.

The Closet does a fantastic job of distributing clothes to those who need them in the Fox Cities--over 30,000 articles of clothing last year alone!  Keep them in mind when you consider giving throughout the year.

Hands Over the Fox

Thursday, May, 14 2015

Enjoyed a few moments with Alison Mayer and Paul Brunette of Hands Over the Fox, the community event coming up Sunday in Menasha.

More info is on our site, but anyone attending is asked to be at the Trestle Trail Bridge by 6:30, as the program begins promptly at 7.  A special walk across the bridge with a joining of hands at 7:33pm will take place, the moment two weeks ago when this shooting tragedy took innocent lives.

WHBY News will have coverage, inculding are-cap on Monday morning.
