Robo calls make advances

Thursday, Dec, 12 2013

The hated robo call is making advances.

Make sure to try to listen to the Thursday PhilCast in the first half hour to hear an audio clip I have of the latest trick companies are using with these robo calls.

The robot voice is now so high-tech that it is programmed to almost sound human, actually responding to your questions!

How do they do this stuff?

A reporter found out about it and recorded a 'conversation' with the robot trying to sell him something...even denying she was a robot!

We'll discuss and you can hear it for yourself today on the show.

Recycling the Appleton recycling story

Wednesday, Dec, 11 2013

Appleton officials still can't make up their minds, and the "Big Blues" remain controversial.

At issue;
Should residents who do not want to use the large 96-gallon version have to pay a fee to be able to get a smaller version?

The proposal being tossed around now is to charge those people $100.00 bucks.
Clark Howard would love this....
I can almost hear him now...
"What? More money for less?"

We'll talk about on the PhilCast.

So long snugglers

Monday, Dec, 9 2013

I never even got the chance to get a snuggle.

Yes it's true.

The Snuggle House in Madison is no more.

They have announced that the doors to snuggle heaven have been shut for good.

So much for preferred spooning. Not gonna happen for a price here.

I guess it was fun while it lasted. But I'll get one final poke at the carcass on today's PhilCast after Pack Yak.

Careful where you plug in

Thursday, Dec, 5 2013

IF electric cars do become more and more prevalent out there on the road, we better watch out for exactly where we plug them in.

I have an interesting story coming up on the Thursday PhilCast about a guy who got in trouble for plugging in his electric car for a quick charge at the building where he was picking up his kid.

The guy ends up in jail for a time because he used what amounted to about five cents worth of electricity.

We'll discuss.
