Summefest time

Opening day for Summerfest today. So I decided to go find some vintage sound to use on the show today in honor of that fact. We'll be playing clips from the one time in my life I actually got to PLAY Summerfest.

Very cool and tons of fun.
Yup, that's me on the right with the white guitar workin' it with former producer "Davey Ray Braun" on stage. Blind Lemon, Don Vogel, to the right.

Summerfest 1990.
One I'll never forget because that year I was actually in the band!

We had a couple of hottie listeners we called the Vogelettes that had to come on stage from time to time to point Don in the right direction! After all, he was blind.

I remember during one break between songs the Vogelettes came out to wipe down Don and give him a drink.

Even on stage he was hilarious, telling the crowd, "Good thing my wife is blind too!"

The late, great Don Vogel...most talented man I have ever worked with in my long radio career.
