They're called GIRL SCOUT cookies for a reason

Don't get me wrong, I love Thin Mints as much as the next guy. I can't watch March Madness games unless there is a sleeve of them and a glass of cold milk at my side.

But they're called Girl Scout cookies for a reason. Girl Scouts sell them as not only a fund-raising event, but a teaching tool for them about business as well.

Parents; back off.

Enough with selling the cookies for your kids, and especially at work. Today on the PhilCast I'll have a story about one woman who was fired because she had her kid's Girl Scout cookies for sale at the work place.

Now, that seems a bit harsh to me, but it leads me into today's discussion of the topic of parents turning this into some sort of competition about their kids ability to sell the MOST cookies.
Memo to those parents--that is NOT what this is all about.
