"It wasn't me"

Thursday, Nov, 5 2015

It wasn't me?

He says it wasn't him.

Um, yes it WAS you.

Take a look...a good, long look.

That's you in the car beating on the Uber driver.

So now he's sorry.

Funny how that happens once you sober up and realize you're facing a lawsuit and criminal charges.

The story of Ben Golden today on the PhilCast.

Hint; I don't have a lot of sympathy here.
You'll hear why.

Oh yes they did...and here they are.

One Olive

Tuesday, Nov, 3 2015

One of the stories I'll be talking about on the Tuesday show is last meals of Death Row inmates.
Specifically, there was one who wanted nothing more than a single olive.

An olive?

What a waste of a last meal.

And now there's final entertainment requests while eating these last meals as well.

I've put together my request, just in case it's ever needed.
We'll discuss.

The Great Pumpkin Heist

Sunday, Nov, 1 2015

So we got through another dreary, wet Halloween and Trick or Treat is just a memory (or cavity) in the making now.

At the Cianciola house we started with 129 pieces of candy. Why 129 and not 130 I am not sure, but don't blame me. I didn't touch any of it ahead of time this year. It must have been Mrs. Biggest Name!

Anyway, things started out with a bang and we were going through candy faster than Jay Cutler throws interceptions at first.

This bacon kid was one of my favorite costumes of the day.

Worried that we were going to run out again like last year, we crafted a plan to shut down all the lights and hide upstairs if need be for the final minutes.

No such plan was needed. We made it by eight pieces...just eight of the 129 were left at 7:00 when Trick or Treat came to an official end.

I watched a couple of scary movies on TCM and called it a night.

The bad news came Sunday morning when I saw that our pumpkins had been stolen!
Not smashed. Stolen. Just gone without a trace of pumpkin guts in the street anywhere.
Who does that?

Disappointing end to an otherwise good day.

It's called Daylight SAVING Time

Friday, Oct, 30 2015

PhilFlick!
Behind the scenes-How many people does it take to change the PhilCast studio clock?
Friday it's the annual PhilCast Halloween show.

I'll have a story about turning the clocks back that's pretty interesting and pretty much blows up any of the original reasons for doing this in the first place.

The end of the Friday show will feature the annual playing of the classic AFN Halloween bit, "Frankenstein's Castle", a time-honored broadcast tradition in my world!

Oh, one more reminder...
It's called Daylight SAVING Time, not savings.
