Kicked out over a pizza

Thursday, Oct, 8 2015

One of the stories I'll discuss on the Thursday PhilCast is about an 800-pound man who was kicked out of a hospital because they caught him ordering a pizza.

At some point, you've got to pull back on the pizza.

This looks like it's past that point.

Well past.

But did the hospital do wrong by him?

And now the question has become where to put him?

Seriously. His father is stumped.

We'll discuss.

TV Theme Songs at #1

Wednesday, Oct, 7 2015

Remember when TV theme songs were a big deal?
I do.

Interesting story I saw today from Billboard, the people who have forever done the Top 100 music chart.

Only six TV theme songs have ever made it to #1 on the chart.
Why people say 'charts' when there's only one chart remains a mystery to me.

Anyway, no theme not only made it to #1 but stayed #1 longer than the theme from "

My beloved Hawaii 5-0 peaked at #4 on the Hot 100 in 1969.

You can CLICK HERE to see how well your favorite old TV show theme did on the chart.

We'll discuss/reminisce in the first hour of the show on Wednesday.

Did she go too far?

Tuesday, Oct, 6 2015

A mother in South Carolina wanted to shame her son as punishment for his fighting and homophobic remarks.
So she paraded him around a Wal-Mart store in a tutu and women's clothes with the word 'bad' written in marker on his shaved head.

Someone called police, who came to the store, told her it was wrong, and brought in social services.

It's all being reviewed now.

My question--did she do something that was wrong enough for social services to be brought into the picture or was this just a mom who cares and was trying to teach her son a lesson?

We discuss on the Tuesday PhilCast.

"The Kiss"

Monday, Oct, 5 2015

How come when other players do something like this I hate it, but when OUR guy does it it's funny?

Human nature I guess.

Last week Jamal Charles of KC mocked Aaron Rodgers when Charles did the "Discount Double Check" belt thing after he scored, a move made famous by #12.

This week Clay Mathews mocked Colin Captain-dork with a kiss of his bicep muscle, which is of course Colin's 'thing'.

Then the mics picked up Clay saying, "You ain't no Russell Wilson bro."

Ahhh, boys will be boys.

Brash showboating when done to your team.

Kinda funny when your team does it to the other guys.

Pack Yak with Rich Ratay today from 3-4 on the PhilCast.
