Paula Poundstone on Wed. PhilCast

Wednesday, Oct, 21 2015

Comedian Paula Poundstone visits the PhilCast Wednesday afternoon right after the 4:30 news.

She'll be performing at the Meyer Theater in Green Bay this Saturday.

I THINK we've got some tickets to give away on the PhilCast as well.

Check it out 4:30-ish.

The cost of dying

Tuesday, Oct, 20 2015

On the Tuesday PhilCast, it's the high cost of dying.

I'll perhaps be able to save you some money on the whole process, which as it turns out, may be worse than car buying!

Says one expert in the story today,
"No other industry works so hard to hide what they charge."

Just one of the things I'll be talking about on the show Tuesday.

Football Monday

Monday, Oct, 19 2015

We start out with Pack Yak on Monday, as Rich Ratay and I break down the win over the Chargers.

Yes, the Packers have a perfect record, but they also have issues. We'll discuss, including what I call the most shocking moment of the entire game, at least if you were watching on TV.

Then in the 4:00 hour we kick things off with a review of my debut in the booth from Friday night when I joined Marques Pfaff and Joey D. to call the Menasha-Waupaca contest.

The inside scoop from inside the booth.

Friday Night Lights

Friday, Oct, 16 2015

I make my high school football debut in the press box doing color commentary for the game between Menasha and Waupaca, the battle of the 'ah' schools.

One appears to be on fire while the other is some sort of crazed bird.

It's PhilCast style coming to the booth tonight on WHBY at 6:30. I'll be heading to the field right after the PhilCast.

PhilCast Celebrates 6 Years!

Thursday, Oct, 15 2015

This all started six years ago today, the last four of them on WHBY in Appleton.

There it is, the historical first group ever from Oct. 15th 2009 in my basement studio in Wauwatosa where the PhilCast was born.

That's Kris Kraft far left, who still writes and performs the show's jingles.

My "Jewish Friend" Dick Alpert in the chair.

Me at the controls.

Standing is Bill, who created and performed the PhilCast theme and was a huge help in putting the studio together.

Lips LaBelle, who still visits every Thursday on the show.

Thanks to each and every one of you who take time to listen to the show.
It is appreciated more than you could know.
