Done with Downton

Monday, Mar, 7 2016

As I like to ask on Monday PhilCast shows, "HowzYer Weekend"?

Sunday night my weekend wrapped up like many American TV viewer's did, watching a hit Brit show come to an end.

And what an end it was for Downton Abbey.

I thought they did a great job, and I would go on to say it may have been the best season finale episode of TV I've ever seen.

We'll discuss on the Monday PhilCast.

Also, I'll play back the SNL rippage of Fond du Lac that seemed to come out of nowhere on Saturday night.

Plus, did you see the photo I posted from my weekend at the PhilCast Facebook fan page?
Have you guessed where I was?

Come fly with me...

Friday, Mar, 4 2016

...if you can afford it!

True or False?

The most expensive airport in the country to fly from is located right here in Wisconsin.

I hate to tell you, but that's TRUE.

The story as part of the Friday PhilCast.

And while in the air, another story about the idiot flight attendant and his even dumber idea.

Hold the Hank speculation

Thursday, Mar, 3 2016

Sure he looks different now.

Hank's not a stray any longer and living the good life has meant a fancy bath, hairdo and some good meals.

His fur is poofed up and he has put on a few pounds perhaps since his stray days, but that's the original Hank.

The Milwaukee Brewers say so.

So put all the conspiracy theories to rest about this being a replacement dog after Hank died.

Nothing to it says the team.

We love ya Hank! (The REAL Hank)

Four more to go

Wednesday, Mar, 2 2016

Counting today, just four more "Weigh-In Wednesday" reports to go.

Don't forget to email me your reports before the start of the show to be eligible once again for the grand prize drawing and the title of WW Champ 2016!

After the reports today on the show I'm sure I'll have a story or two from the doctor's office where I am getting a physical today.

Oh joy.

The priest that played grab-ass with me

Tuesday, Mar, 1 2016

In the 4:00 hour of the show today I am going to talk about something some might find controversial, but that's exactly why I want people to hear the story.

I've eluded to it on the air in the past, but after the movie "Spotlight" won best picture at the Oscars it got me thinking about a couple of things.

1) I need to go see that movie now
2) I have a connection to that movie whether I want it or not. And now, I think I have an obligation to talk about it as well.

Just seeing his picture brings back a lot of memories, shoved somewhere deep in the back of my brain.

But events like learning about this movie remind me that those memories will always be there somewhere, as is the anger.

And it's not even so much the anger of what this priest did, but more so the anger of what the church didn't do about him.

My story after the 4:00 news today.
